Joost.com is planning to distribute video in a much more tv-like manner. High quality, high speed is the promise from the? founders of Skype. To succeed, they need to build relationships with content providers ahead of BitTorrent, YouTube and others. If they make it easy enough for broadcasters to use, they might get the users and ad revenues they’ll need to compete.

The Consumer Electronics Show has some amazing gadgets.? They just keep getting better. Kudos to all the hardware manufactures for delivering.? Synaptics as in touchpads released a phone called the Onyx. The touch screen is nice and smooth like the iPhone. It makes me want one of those too. I’ll stick with the Q until someone makes a phone specialized for video podcasters, which by the way, we’ll be doing in the very near future

That’s the new Windows Vista sound.

Reporters without borders spokeswoman, Lucie Morillon? recently called out the top ten countries that censor the net. In other news, Yahoo! Food is now open and it’s really tasty. If you enjoy cooking this should prove to be? a? valuable 2.0 resource.?

and in the best news of the day, CNET.com is reporting that, “The head of the Federal Trade Commission on Monday voiced reluctance toward adopting consumer protection laws that target technological concerns du jour, saying the “collective voice” of consumers often prompts change. ” She went on to say, “On the Internet, consumers appear to reign supreme, and they can be very powerful and tough customers.” Sounds good to me.
