WebProNews is reporting some Internet Advertising Bureau numbers showing a 34% increase over? 2005 numbers bringing total online ad revenues up to 16.8 billion.
Traditional big media continues to buy into the surge and they continue to build out websites with the intention of providing ad space. That goal doesn’t jive with me as it seems a more natural growth of the Internet focused on user needs more than advertiser needs would foster sustain-ability.
Trying to convince ad publishers to provide value to visitors is a bit like asking spammers to write content for English Professors. I don’t see people clicking on more ads because more ads are available.
There’s a new version of Picasa out and more updates in a moment.
