International Telecommunications Union (Tubes remain safe)

The new head of the International Telecommunications Union said he’s not interested in taking over the governance of the Internet. This is important since he works for the United Nations who has expressed intentions to govern the Internet.

Considering the previous director’s wishes, this is a very good sign. The previous director? felt that government, specifically the ITU and the United Nations had a major role in the Internet. The United Nations has listened to Iran and China for many years on Internet policy and believe we may use the Internet for political gain and could shut enemies out. How ironic. Let’s hope they’re right.

Here at home,? the U.S. Attorney’s office has their first conviction in the HP spying case. No? web professionals were involved but many web professionals want to know why these convicts make so much money.?
