Google is partnering with EchoStar to? sell commercials over the satellite broadcaster’s 125 national? programming networks. From reading various takes on the story, it seems that cable operators are actually the? better play? for Google since the cable companies can target and segment their market’s better.
It is a sign of things to come though and if Google can keep it together with YouTube they’re likely to have some huge opportunity coming their way and lots of work for the AdWords team.
In other news, the battle? between Intel and AMD has heated up with Intel building a new 2.5 billion dollar chip fabrication plant in China. According to CNET, AMD has been closing the gap in China? and Chinese computer buyers seem happy to buy machines with AMD chips.
