ebay is buying StubHub for around 310 million. StubHub is a ticket marketplace for second-hand tickets to various? concerts and sports events. Fans can buy and sell tickets safely and ebay wants a piece of the action.
Apple finally announced the iPhone perhaps too early. It looks super cool and has some really trick features but it won’t be released for another 5-6 months. Apparently it doesn’t have a removable battery and is limited to 4 or 8 gig models? but somehow I don’t think that’ll hamper sales.? Apple’s first step into the cell phone market is big. The service is via AT&T? through Cingular. The phone will come with a camera, iPod functionality and it reportedly runs on OSX? and uses? the Safari browser.
There are even more innovative features but I have to wonder what the performance hit will be and whether they’ve left the door open for Samsung or Motorola to quickly assemble a new Windows Mobile combination. The LG KE850 is already strikingly similar.
