Google Buys Adscape and Trendalyzer and Adobe Releases Apollo Alpha

Google is buying Adscape. Inserting ads into games is apparently the idea behind the purchase. The terms were not released however, Google did say they have already been in talks with game developers for some time. Google also purchased Gapminder’s Trendalyzer software. Trendalyzer animates various data points and is said to “create novel effects” out of statistical analysis. It sounds to me? like Google Analytics is going to take longer to load.

Adobe has officially released Apollo and as Michael Arrington at TechCrunch points out, this could create entirely new classes of companies. Apollo lets it’s users create content that is cross-operating system, cross-browser and desktop ready.? This means that? the Rich Internet Apps you build? for the? Apollo runtime will run on the desktop apart from the browser and vice-versa.? Also think in terms of? occasionally-connected applications that can be built from HTML, Flash, Flex and AJAX.
