Bill Cullifer here with the World Organization and the WOW Technology Minute.
I?’m in the WOW exhibit booth here at the Google Web Tool Kit Conference and the Voices that Matter series of conferences sponsored by Pearson Education.
WOW, what an event for getting my head around the workings and the benefits of Google Web Tool Kit or GWT as it?’s called.
The four day event is taking place at the Palace hotel in downtown San Francisco this week.I can honestly say that I?’ve enjoyed the fantastic content, the great networking opportunities, this incredible venue and of course the chance to talk to some of the most intelligent geeks around!
Fortunately, I was able to interview a handful of notable speakers and authors covering a range of Google Web Tool Kit topics including:
•A Business Case for Ajax with Google Web Toolkit by Bruce Johnson and Joel Webber
•Internationalization by Shianjian Li, Software Engineer at Google
•Kelly Norton, Google engineer and MIT Media Lab alumna, tackles Usability considerations, including UI design, history behavior, keyboard support, and accessibility
•Joel Webber, co-creator of GWT, demonstrates best practices for web application performance and he explained how to implement these practices using GWT
•Billy Hoffman on AJAX security. He’s written a new book and its a must read
•David Geary, A prominent author, speaker, and consultant and he presented a session about Cool and Useful Stuff for DWT
I also interviewed several attendees including some really nice people like Meg Prescott, Assistant Professor from New HampshireTechnical College and Jorge Medina, QA Engineer from Shasta QA based in Nprthern California.
Here?’s the interview of Meg Prescott, from New Hampshire and look for more interviews in the days and weeks to come!
