ICANN says .XXX still a no-go and Google Health Search

ICANN again rejected .xxx as a domain extension. There’s strong arguments for and against. Vint Cerf is in charge so it’s probably going to be ok. Two board members did disagree with the board’s decision.

Yahoo! will be appointing a “Traffic Quality Advocate”? as a result of a recent Click Fraud ruling in a San Jose Federal Court. Thousands of advertisers? will get a dedicated? Traffic Quality Advocate? and? a brand new Traffic Quality Resource Center. According to WebProNews, “Yahoo has estimated that, on average, it filters out anywhere from 12 to 15 percent of clicks due to fraud.”

Google is refocusing on Health Search and they have a? new tool for Do It Yourself advertisers called Dynamic Keyword Insertion. Google also answers a few Pay Per Action questions at their Inside Adwords blog.

Deepfish is a prototype browser from Microsoft that runs on Windows Mobile. The phone browser war escalates.
