Sun Sets Java Free and Web 4.0 Planning

The open-source clearing house continues as Sun releases Java under a General Public License (version 2). The source code became available today. I’m a bit surprised this didn’t make bigger news and there isn’t any clear indication of what impact it might have.

For those of you that like to plan ahead,? it’s apparently planning time? for web 4.0.? Web 4.0 is now in various planning stages among various thought leaders across the web. The semantic web, ontology proliferation and the learning web are all in play.

Finally, the University of Virginia has joined the Google Books project. All the links are all here at wowtechminute.com.
